Ever wonder which Milwaukee public figures are dog lovers?
Find out with Famous Fido.

Nick Bohr is a familiar face on Milwaukee TV news.  He has been a general assignment reporter at WISN 12 since October 1994.  During that time he has interviewed many presidential candidates including Michael Dukakis, Jesse Jackson, Paul Simon, Al Gore, Al Sharpton and Howard Dean.  He provided extensive coverage after the 9/11 attacks.  He also reported live from Rome during the illness of Pope John Paul II.

Prior to joining WISN 12, Nick worked in radio as a news reporter. He graduated from Marquette University with degrees in broadcast journalism and political science.  Nick, his wife and two children (twins) live in Brookfield along with Tyler, a Border collie mix.

Here’s a bit about Tyler:

My human spoils me with:   Tyler loves to go on walks around the neighborhood and leave his mark everywhere!!  (That’s fun!)  He is also obsessed with those little rawhide sticks.  When we have them “in stock” he expects one every time he comes back inside.

Where does Tyler sleep?  Tyler sleeps in his little foam doggie bed, or on his doggie mat.   He’d probably jump up with the kids in their beds, but he’s getting a little old now, and doesn’t want to have to jump down.

Tyler’s favorite activity:  Spending the summer days stalking chipmunks in the backyard.  He even occasionally catches one… but then he’s not sure what to do with it… gets startled… and let’s it go!

Anything else we should know about Tyler?  We got Tyler from the Humane Animal Welfare Society in Waukesha when he was one or two.  He was a stray, and they weren’t sure exactly how old he was at the time.  Eleven years later, he’s still going great, and he’s been an absolutely wonderful dog… even rolling with the punches when our twins came along and he got moved to the back of the pack!!

MilwaukeeDogLovers.com says:  We graduated with Nick from Marquette and shared many classes with him.  He’s a fun, upstanding, trustworthy guy and we enjoy getting our news from him.  And we love that Tyler is a rescue.  Way to go!
